This Week at Trinity Beamsville

This Sunday marks the end of the Church year. In years gone by this would have been a razzle-dazzle Sunday celebrating the supremacy and reign of Jesus Christ as the head of the church. While such celebrations have diminished slowly over the years the reality is the same: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow – not as an elitist king sequestered in a palace and knows nothing of what it is to be hungry or without clean water or homeless or sick and need of medical care. He is the One who welcomes us each day of our lives into his realm of love. We experience him each time someone reaches out to us when we are struggling or afraid or alone. We embody him when we reach out to someone who is struggling or afraid or alone. We hurt him and his holy name when we are ignorant of the struggles of others.
This Sunday we will begin our collection of toys and foods for those in our community who are struggling, not just at Christmas, but each day of their lives to provide food and other household necessities of life for themselves and/or their family.
I am increasingly aware of the growing impact on us of the corona virus and the related restrictions on our lives as time passes. It is emotionally and mentally draining. I know that. I feel it too sometimes. Please don’t hesitate to call me if you need to talk or share a concern or relieve some tension. I always enjoy talking on the telephone to Trinity people. 905.563.7656.
Remembering you in love.
