Kassandra Matthews, Student Minister
Kassandra is a thirty- something Student Minister and new mom, with a bubbly personality, love for people, sense of humour and deep faith.
She was born and raised in Niagara Falls by adoptive parents, as part of a large, loud and loving extended family.
She completed an undergraduate degree in Sociology, Social Justice & Equities from Brock University in 2008. She has just begun her seminary studies at Atlantic School of Theology as part of the Summer Distance M.Div program.
Kassandra first received a “call” to ministry, more than 10 years ago, though she wouldn’t have understood it as a call at that time. This call has clarified and deepened as she’s served the church in various forms.
Kassandra has served in youth and family ministries at Central United, Welland, as a Vacation Bible School Director for the former Presbytery, as a Worship Coordinator at St. Andrew’s Niagara Falls, and as a Spiritual Care Director at a local long- term- care home.
Kassandra and her husband Dan were married in June 2014, and reside in Niagara Falls. They welcomed their son James Daniel Mucciarelli in September 2018. In her spare time, Kass enjoys making dreadful punny jokes and delicious food for her dear ones, binge-watching BBC shows, spending time outdoors, and exploring creatively.
